The Best Nachos Near Roseville

Nachos are probably my favorite food. Salty chips, savory cheese, a variety of toppings loaded with flavor. I consider myself a foodie and seek out food experiences instead of eating out of necessity. Because of this I needed to know where I could get the absolute best tasting nachos in the area. The ONLY answer was to go on a Nacho Tour.

The rules: If a restaurant I was visiting had nachos on the menu, I had to order it.

Over about 12 months I have tried, and retried, So. Many. Nachos. I could also make a list of the most disappointing nachos, but nobody needs that kind of negativity in their life. The most delicious deserve to be, and are, shared here with you. All of these are made with real cheese, not cheese sauce. Test them out for yourself and let me know what you think!

#1. Loomis Basin Brewing’s Gastropub & Smokehouse

Loomis Basin Brewing’s Gastropub & Smokehouse– Smokin’ Nachos – starting at $17

Now, I can eat, probably more than most people, and I’ve never been able to finish a plate of nachos from the Gastropub. They put half of a rotisserie chicken on there when you order chicken. I’ve ordered these a handful of times, and it never disappoints.

#2. Yard House

Yard House Chicken Nachos $16

If you play your cards right, hit Yard House during happy hour for half off their nachos (regularly $16). The massive plate you receive makes it even more worth it. These nachos are very different from the Gastropub, but use both red and green sauce that hit you with flavor.

#3. TopGolf

TopGolf’s Nacho Average Nachos – starting at $10.50

You probably didn’t expect TopGolf to make the list for for nachos. The serving isn’t large, but each chip is individually loaded with toppings, making every bite the best bite. They also hold the secret to never having soggy chips, but they haven’t told me what it is.

#4. El Portal Taqueria

El Portal Taqueria Super Nachos – $10.95

I’ve been eating at the Auburn location for years and up until recently, had never had their Super Nachos. I was missing out! I had it with their carnitas, but your choice of meat is included in the price. Word to the wise: ask for the sour cream on the side, as they tend to go a little crazy with the sour cream.

P.S. None of the images you see were taken by me, but do accurately represent what these nachos look like. I’ve compiled them from the internet for your convenience.
